HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 19-year-old man has been charged after allegedly opening fire in Wahiawa over the weekend, officials said.
According to arrest logs, Ariez Sylve-Matautia is charged with attempted murder.
Honolulu police said around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, the Sylve-Matautia allegedly fired multiple shots toward a 27-year-old man.
One of the bullets struck the windshield of the victim’s car but authorities said he was not injured.
HPD arrested Sylve-Matautia at about 10 a.m. that morning.
His bail has been set at $1 million.
